Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 2026

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide when creating an account, including your name, email address, date of birth, and location. We also collect your profile video, which is recorded live on camera. We collect usage data including connections, messages and how you use our agents.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to provide and improve the FaceMeet service, match you with compatible users, process payments, send important notifications, and ensure the safety and security of our platform. We never sell your personal data to third parties.

3. Video Profiles

Your video profile is visible to other FaceMeet users for the purpose of facilitating connections. Videos may be processed for profile-video moderation, automated sampled-frame checks where configured, and manual admin review when needed to enforce our Community Guidelines and Content Policy. Videos are stored securely and are never shared outside the FaceMeet platform without your explicit consent. You may delete your video at any time from your profile settings.

4. Face Data

FaceMeet does not collect, store, or share face data. We do not create facial geometry, faceprints, facial landmarks, biometric identifiers, or biometric templates of any kind. When you record your profile video, an automated check runs entirely on your device (using on-device face detection) on up to three sampled frames of the recorded video, solely to confirm that the video shows a human face before it is uploaded. This check produces only a yes-or-no result; the sampled frames are deleted from your device immediately after the check, and no facial data of any kind leaves your device, is transmitted to our servers, or is shared with any third party. Because no face data is ever collected, none is retained: the on-device result is discarded as soon as the check completes. The circular framing guide shown on screen while you record is a visual aid only; it does not capture, measure, or analyze anything. Your profile video itself is user content (a video in which your face appears) and is handled as described in Sections 3, 6, and 7: it is stored securely with our hosting provider, is never sold or shared outside the FaceMeet platform, and is permanently deleted when you replace it or delete your account.

5. Contacts and Invitations

Your contact list stays on your phone. If you choose to invite friends, FaceMeet asks for permission to display your contacts on your device so you can select who to invite; invitations are then sent from your own Messages app. Your address book (names, phone numbers, emails, and any other contact details) is never uploaded to our servers. The only thing transmitted to FaceMeet when you send invites is a one-way cryptographic fingerprint (a SHA-256 hash) derived from each phone number you chose to invite. We use these fingerprints solely to count your unique invitations and to prevent duplicates; we cannot read a name or dial a number from a fingerprint, we never use fingerprints to build a contact graph or for advertising, and we never share them with anyone. Fingerprints are stored with your account and are permanently deleted when your account is deleted. Before any of this happens, the app shows you an explanation and asks for your agreement; if you prefer, you can always invite by link, QR code, or share sheet without granting contact access.

6. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on secure servers provided by Supabase. We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit and at rest. Video calls are facilitated through Daily.co and are not recorded or stored by FaceMeet. Payments are processed securely through supported payment providers and app store billing where available.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data including your video profile and messages will be permanently deleted within 30 days. Some data may be retained longer where required by law.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. You may also request a copy of your data or withdraw consent for certain uses. To exercise these rights, contact us at hello@facemeet.app.

8a. AI Coworker

If your employer uses the FaceMeet AI Coworker, FaceMeet processes what you share with it on your employer's behalf. What your employer keeps, what stays private to you and for how long are set out in the Employee Notice and on the Data Retention page. The companies that help run it are listed on the Subprocessors page.

Microsoft Teams and Slack. When you use the FaceMeet.ai app in Microsoft Teams, FaceMeet receives the messages you send to your agent, your Teams user and organization identifiers and your display name, so it can link your Teams account and reply. In Teams channels and group chats where the app has been added, FaceMeet also receives the messages posted there, so the agent understands the conversation when someone @mentions it. It replies only when @mentioned, uses these messages only for that, and deletes them after 7 days. In Slack, when someone @mentions the agent in a channel, it reads that thread, or the channel's recent messages, at that moment to understand the conversation, and does not store them. FaceMeet does not read chats or channels the app has not been added to. Messages you send to your agent are kept with your agent's conversation history and handled the same way as messages on the agent page.

8b. Remi

Remi is a personal agent you subscribe to yourself. It is yours, not your employer's.

What Remi collects. What you give it: your job description, your resume, what you say in the set-up interview and in your conversations with it (by text, voice, WhatsApp, text message or email), the money details you choose to enter (such as salary, pay frequency, state, monthly costs and savings goals), and your wins, notes, reminders and daily updates. If you connect other apps, such as Gmail or a calendar, Remi reads them to help you when you ask. When you ask it to find your subscriptions, it reads receipts, renewal and trial emails from the last 6 months.

Bank accounts and cards (optional, United States). You can choose to connect bank accounts and cards to Remi through Link, a service of Stripe. You sign in to Link yourself and pick which accounts to share; FaceMeet never sees your bank login. Remi can then read, and only read, the balances and transactions of the accounts you shared, and uses them only to answer you: where your money goes, recurring charges and subscriptions, unusual charges, and help cancelling subscriptions you ask it to cancel. Remi cannot move money, pay or transfer from these accounts. We do not sell this data, use it for lending, credit or advertising, or share it with anyone except the service providers that run Remi for us (our database host in the United States, and OpenAI to write Remi's answers, which does not use it for training). The access is stored encrypted in the United States. You can disconnect at any time from Remi's Money tab or in the Link app; we then revoke our access and delete the stored access within 30 days.

What Remi does not do. Remi never asks for or sees bank or card logins. It does not report on you to your employer or anyone else. It does not send, book, buy or change anything in your connected apps without your approval. It does not give investment advice or prepare taxes; take-home pay and budget figures are estimates from the details you give.

Who processes it. The companies that help run Remi, including OpenAI (understanding requests, writing answers and voice), Composio (connections to the apps you choose), Stripe (payments), TextMagic (text messages), Meta (WhatsApp messages, if you use WhatsApp) and Resend (email). OpenAI does not use data sent through its API to train its models. See the Subprocessors page.

Keeping and deleting it. Remi keeps your information while your Remi is active. You can remove any note, disconnect any app, and delete Remi and everything it knows at any time from Remi's settings; it is then permanently deleted within 30 days, except where the law requires us to keep billing records.

9. Cookies and Website Analytics

Our website uses essential cookies to ensure proper functionality. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some features may not function properly.

To understand how people use facemeet.ai, we record website activity with our own first-party analytics: the pages you view, the buttons you select (for example "Talk to Yanis"), how far you scroll, how long a page is open, the website, link or ad that brought you, your device type and browser, and your approximate location (city, region and country), which our hosting provider derives from your IP address. We do not store your full IP address; we store a one-way pseudonymous code derived from it. A random identifier is kept in your browser's storage so we can recognise repeat visits. Visitors in Europe are asked before that identifier is stored. If you create a FaceMeet account, we may connect this website activity to your account.

We also use Microsoft Clarity to see how pages are used, through heatmaps and recordings of page interactions, with text you type masked. Microsoft processes this data under its own privacy statement (privacy.microsoft.com). Visitors in Europe are asked first.

We use Apollo.io to identify the company or organisation a visit comes from, based on the network it is made from, so we can understand which employers are interested in FaceMeet. This identifies businesses, not individual visitors. Visitors in Europe are asked first.

Advertising measurement. On facemeet.ai we use the Meta Pixel, a tool from Meta Platforms, to measure how our ads on Facebook and Instagram perform, for example whether a visit came from one of our ads and whether the visitor went on to sign up. The pixel sets a cookie (_fbp) and sends Meta information about the visit, such as the page viewed, your browser and your IP address. Meta processes this under its own privacy policy (facebook.com/privacy/policy). Visitors in Europe are asked before it runs. You can limit how Meta uses this in your Facebook ad settings, and you can block or delete cookies in your browser.

To stop this analytics on a browser, add ?fm_ignore=1 to any facemeet.ai address, or clear your browser's storage for facemeet.ai.

10. Children's Privacy

FaceMeet is intended for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from minors. If we become aware that a minor has created an account, we will immediately delete their data and terminate their account.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of FaceMeet after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
